Dr Christopher Love – M.B. B.S., F.R.A.C.S.
Dr Christopher Love graduated from Monash University in 1978. He spent his early training years at Prince Henry’s Hospital in Melbourne before moving to Sydney to commence training as a Urology Register. He completed his Urology training at St. Vincent’s in Melbourne in 1986, and then worked in San Francisco. He became involved in Male Health in 1987 and has been a major penile implant surgeon in Australia since that time, and is regarded as a leading national expert in the field of prosthetic urology.
As a specialist in urological prosthetics, Dr Love treats men with erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence, particularly after prostate cancer surgery, utilising a range of treatment options from new medications through to the latest proven effective surgical techniques.
He also treats men with Peyronie’s disease, including using advanced surgical techniques, and treats and manages benign prostate disease utilising medical and surgical treatments, including Greenlight laser, in addition to treating all aspects of general urology.
Dr. Love also has expertise and experience in the management of female urinary incontinence, utilising mesh and sling repairs.
He has multiple publications on urology topics, and has given numerous lectures and presentations to patient groups, urologists and primary care physicians, as well as demonstrating and teaching aspects of urologic prosthetic surgery, both nationally and internationally. He is on the international prosthetic surgical training panel for Coloplast.
He is a member of The Australian and New Zealand Urological Society, and an international member of the American Urologic Association and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and maintains close ties and association with many of the leading prosthetic urologists in North America.
Dr. Love is actively involved in clinical research with male health, and has been an investigator on a wide range of clinical trials within the area.
He entered into private practice in 1987 and is in private urologic surgery practice in Mentone, in the bayside area, and at Men’s Health Melbourne in the CBD. In addition to operating from Como Private Hospital in bayside Melbourne, he is a senior urologist at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne.
