Haemostasis thrombosis

Description of the services Clotting and bleeding disorders, general haematology, eg investigation of anaemia, thrombocytopenia and neutropenia.
This clinic DOES NOT provide services for Children under age of 16
GP Investigations to be performed If you wish to discuss any other investigations prior to referring your patient please discuss with Drs Huyen Tran or Sanjeev Chunilal.

For any of the investigations below if not performed at Southern Health please provide a copy with referral:

Patients with thrombotic disorders:
Please bring diagnostic test reports. A copy of INR tests and warfarin dosing is helpful.

Patients with bleeding disorders:
Please perform APTT, INR fibrinogen and platelet count. von Willebrand’s screening and factor assays if indicated ( may wish to discuss with clinician prior to booking patient).

Patients with anaemia:
Please perform and provide copies of a full blood count, reticulocyte count, VitaminB12, folate and iron studies. Biochemistry including liver function tests.
