Mr.John Kourambas completed his medical and surgical training in Melbourne and has been a Consultant urologist at Monash Health since 2000 .
After completing training in Melbourne he completed 2 fellowships overseas. First at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford,UK then as the Endourology Fellow at Duke University Medical Centre in North Carolina,USA.
He is a general urologist dealing with most urological conditions including PSA/prostate cancer( including an interest in conservative active surveillance), benign prostate diseases, bladder and renal disease and cancer and has a sub-specialty interest in endourology and was one of the pioneers of minimally invasive stone treatments.
He has a private practice in the Southeastern Suburbs and consults in East Bentleigh, Malvern, Noble Park and Ashburton and operates publically at Monash Health and privately at Cabrini Malvern and Brighton, Masada, The Valley Private and soon at the new Holmesglen Hospital on South, Rd. Moorabbin.
He is only one of 3 Endourology Society recognised fellows in Australia and the current chair of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand’s Endourology Special Advisory Group
