Ms. Shelley Firth

Shelley has worked in the field of Oncology since 2008 following the completion of her training (Bachelor of Science- Nursing) at Monash University. She did her Graduate year of Nursing in Oncology and Emergency Nursing at Monash Health and from there she moved into the Oncology inpatient setting and then the outpatient Chemotherapy Day Unit also at Monash Health. Shelley also completed her post graduate certificate in Oncology Nursing. She left from 2010-2011 to work at the Alfred in Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials as a Clinical Trial Co-ordinator.

In 2011 she returned to Monash Health in the Medical Oncology Research Unit as a Clinical Trial Research Nurse and also worked as the Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Consultant at Moorabbin on the Women’s Health Ward.

She now solely work in the Medical Oncology Research Unit as a Clinical Research Nurse/Study Co-ordinator. Although over the years she has work on a variety of trials, her interests predominantly is in GI and Breast cancer as well as Supportive Care. She has memberships with a variety of Oncology and Clinical Research interest groups.
