Saving baby Willow
Monash Health featured on this week’s 60 Minutes
Before Willow was even born she faced a tremendous battle for survival. At just 20 weeks gestation, Sam and John Turcinovic were learning that their unborn daughter had a large cyst growing on her left lung that was dominating her chest area and dangerously compressing her other organs.
Don’t miss this special report on channel Nine’s 60 Minutes, following baby Willow’s journey from pre-birth, birth, through to the vital surgery performed to remove her cyst at just 13 days old.
Over the course of four months, Monash Health provided unprecedented access to 60 Minutes to shadow the Turcinovic family and capture the amazing work of multidisciplinary teams from Monash Health, Monash Women’s, Monash Children’s Hospital and Jessie McPherson Private as they work to save Sam and Willow’s life.
